Singing Robots

I know there are at least a couple of talented DJs who read this blog. If you're reading these words, I have a request. Remix this tune. It'll be almost as cool as remixing a celebrity's angry rants.

All My Girlfriends Volume I

You've heard of the It Girl, right? Well, Mr. Taste's always got a Now Girl. What's a Now Girl? That celebrity female who's really entertaining and enticing, and who never seems to last. The unfortunate side effect of a Now Girl is that within time, Mr. Taste gets bored with her, needs to find another, hence the NOW.

The up side of the Now Girl? She's pretty fun while she lasts, and get this: Volume I brings us two Now Girls...

1. Fire Down Be-Loh - Drag Me To Hell's Allison Lohman

"Loh-rider"? I guess "Fire Down Be-Loh" works better. They both have the innuendo value going for them, and they're both pop song references*: these are keeping in character for Mr. Taste. But "Fire down Be-Loh" reflect's Lohman's amazing performance in Drag Me To Hell. Who knew the little girl from White Oleander could be Sam Raimi's next Ash? Who knew the girl who hasn't been in a good movie since, well, White Oleander, could pull off such a performance?** And who knew that fighting a disgusting old hag in a grave filled with water could be so hot?***

2. Baby's Got the Benz - Sci-Fi/Horror Beauty Julie Benz

I knew that chick in Saw V looked familiar! And yes, I saw Saw V! She's the woman from the original vampire romance. You see, Julie Benz first caught Mr. Taste's eye on Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, where she played the former lover of David Boreanez's dark and brooding character Angel. But get this: not only were they lovers, but turns out Darla was the vampire who turned Angel into a vampire. OMG, right? What does this all translate to? Well, she's very attractive, and... Well, I know there's a "cherry popping" inuendo in there with that whole siring someone into the life of vampirism. It's just not coming to me.

Oh, yeah. And she's going to be in the sequel to Boondock Saints, which is the only good movie several idiots that I've met have ever seen. And they just keep going on and on about how it's the best movie ever...

Back on topic: So if you're out there, and you're thinking, "Golly, I sure would like to do a live cover of Get Stop Ticket's hit tune All My Girlfriends Have Boyfriends, Paul, and I would sure like to video tape it for the edification of the band and all their fans," I want you to consider adding these two names when you're listing off your celebrity girlfriends.

* Bob Seger "Fire Down Below", War "Low Rider"
** I haven't seen "Things We Lost in the Fire," so this judgment may be jumping the gun.
*** Just add nipples.

Saturday, YO.

sssBANG! Sha-bang, boom! CRACK! Pow chicka powpowpow... Boom pap boom-pap, boom pap boom-pap... pockitchicka pockitchicka pockitchicka pockitchicka SHHHOOOM... I am an excellent sweeper. If I was not making such a good living working as a Spooning Expert, a Hug Technician, Dance Party Starter, Pizza Taster, Top Shelf Reacher, Refill Getter and Funnel Cake Vomiter, I would be very happy as a professional sweeper. I will let you in on the secret... are you ready? The key is speed. It's all in the pacing of the bristles. If one sweeps too fast, they scatter the debris. A sweeper with the true desire to sweep must sweep at a slow steady tempo. This will allow the bristles of the broom to move the swept rubbish accurately and efficiently. Oh, to have a broom powerful enough to sweep you, my sweet friends, to Northeast Kingdom on the night of Saturday, April 18th! All I can do is invite you, so you may sweep yourselves there... and be swept off your feet.

A Conversation Between Tenants in the Written Word

POSTED: To anyone who was expecting a phone in the mail, I took the package to my room, so no one would steal it from the hallway. You can call my phone at 917-2527, unless of course you don't have a phone... in which case you can stop by my apartment, which is number 205, to pick it up. Have a nice day!
